Sheladia Associates is seeking a professional Hydrologist and Sedimentation Specialist to join our team for upcoming PREPARING THE RESILIENT AMU DARYA RIVER BASIN WATER SECTOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM in Uzbekistan funded by ADB.

The Resilient Amu Darya River Basin Water Sector Development Program will support policy reforms and develop institutional capacity in water resources management and will demonstrate climate adaptive solutions for water resources management and efficient water use in the Amu Darya River Basins in Uzbekistan. The policy-based loan (PBL) will implement policy reforms and better manage water resources in the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR).

Required Qualifications:

·         The specialist should 16 have a bachelor’s degree holder, preferably post graduate in engineering, hydrology, water resources, irrigation, flood management, river and reservoir morphology or a related discipline.

·         He/she should have at least 10 years of international experience in river basin management, and/ or water resources management.

·          Knowledge in hydrology and hydrometrics models, experience in Central Asia, especially in Uzbekistan and

·         Language skill of Uzbek and Russian will be given advantage.
