Summary
The Humanitarian Impact Institute (HII) is seeking an energetic project management officer with excellent time management, people management and administrative skills to join our evaluation teams. The role will support the delivery of evaluations globally through scheduling, coordinating, contracting, budgeting and partnering.
To be successful in this role you will have 3-5 years experience managing projects in the humanitarian sector, preferably with exposure to research or external evaluations. Written and spoken English must be fluent and you must be a highly effective remote worker, but enjoy working as a team while under pressure.
You will be working across our projects delivering a variety of MERL projects for international donors and INGOs.
The Role
This role will help deliver a range of monitoring, evaluation and research projects globally across HII’s projects, with a focus on East Africa, MENA, south Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.
HII is dedicated to increasing the impact of humanitarian and emergency responses, as well as development programs globally.
The role involves:
- Contracting - managing the project contracting process for clients, partners, consultants and sub contractors;
- Scheduling & Coordinating - using our project management software; processes & procedures; and your innate management skills to ensure all elements of each project are working to time and budget specifications;
- Data and knowledge management - ensuring all data protocols are followed;
- Team support - ensuring that team members know what they need to do and when;
- Technical support - supporting sampling processes;
- Supporting your evaluation team to deliver in all ways possible; and
- Ensuring all M&E projects are intersectional, conflict, disability and gender sensitive.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3-5 years of experience managing projects in the humanitarian sector;
- Complete fluency in English writing and speaking;
- Have demonstrated excellent project management skills and orientation; and
- Be completely aligned with our values and our goals on diversity, inclusion and localisation.
