Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the central focal point for the UfM Press Officer.
  • Coordinate and supervise the team of experts and media consultants across multiple countries.
  • Design, implement, and monitor media strategies, campaigns, and plans aligned with UfM’s institutional priorities.
  • Provide editorial guidance and high-level communication support.
  • Ensure consistent quality control of press materials, media monitoring, KPIs, and deliverables.
  • Participate in regular coordination meetings with the UfM and stakeholders.
 
Minimum Requirements
  • Proven experience in media relations, communication strategy, and press office coordination within multilateral cooperation, international development, or institutional settings.
  • Deep understanding of the media landscape in the UfM region, particularly in key focus countries: Spain, France, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, and Brussels-based EU media.
  • Strong network of journalist and media contacts at national and regional level.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multi-country communication teams and coordinating high-profile campaigns or events.
  • Excellent command of press event formats, editorial content development, and proactive media engagement.
  • Fluency in English and excellent command of French, Arabic and Spanish (at least two of the three additionally required).
  • Outstanding organisational and leadership skills.
  • Availability to work remotely with occasional travel to UfM events.
 
Project Details
  • Start Date: Expected July 2025.
  • Duration: Framework contract of up to 4 years (activities expected to span 2 years intermittently).
  • Work Modality: Primarily remote, with potential onsite presence for press trips or high-level events.
