Description

About the Team

In Pakistan, GRC works with local and international partners to strengthen labour rights accountability in the garment sector by empowering workers through awareness-raising sessions, community building, and tailored legal aid. Over the past two years, legal aid centres and women workers’ cafes have become key venues for capacity building and support, fostering a “virtuous circle” of empowerment and legal recourse. As a result of the project, workers report feeling safer in voicing concerns and seeking assistance. This shift in worker confidence marks a significant step toward ensuring justice in high-risk areas by building community trust and resilience against rights abuses.

Duty Station: Pakistan - Karachi or Islamabad

Contract Duration: Initially 6 months with an intention to extend.
