Location of Assignment: Laos

Qualifications and Skills:

  • University degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Multimedia, Information Technology, Communication, or a related field.

  • Proven creative and technical skills in website design, layout, and visual branding.

  • Proficiency in web development tools and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Joomla).

  • Strong knowledge of responsive design, accessibility standards, and user experience (UX) principles.

  • Excellent command of graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).

  • Ability to produce visually engaging content tailored to diverse audiences, with attention to cultural and gender-sensitive communication.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with institutional staff and communicate effectively in both Lao and English.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or within multidisciplinary teams.


General Professional Experience:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of web and/or multimedia design, with a demonstrated track record of delivering quality web and visual communication products.

  • Experience working with public institutions, NGOs, or development partners in communication or digital outreach activities.

  • Proven ability to translate technical content into attractive and accessible digital formats.


Specific Professional Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in designing or improving websites and social media pages to increase online visibility and audience engagement.

  • Experience in developing online communication materials that address gender issues, challenge stereotypes, and promote equity and inclusion.

  • Prior involvement in education, TVET, or youth-focused projects is highly desirable.

  • Experience in working with Lao institutions or stakeholders, preferably in the education or vocational training sector.

  • Experience in refreshing websites with new visuals, improved structure, and content adapted to specific target groups.
