Short Term. Homebase, with travel to Kiribati as required
Program Background
EduKAiT is the main platform for the Australian Government’s support to the Kiribati Education sector, specifically the Government of Kiribati and Ministry of Education (MoE), as it implements its Education Sector Strategic Plan (ESSP 2024-27).
The program will be implemented in two five-year phases over 10 years. Phase 1 includes an emphasis on Literacy and Language for School Years 1-3, and gender and increased English proficiency for School Years 7–9 and addressing the high Year 9 dropout rate for boys.

The Role
The role will focus on practical implementation and maintenance of the program’s MEL Plan and Results Framework; the MoE’s MEL systems development and MEL framework for their ESSP 2024-2027; supporting improved MEL capacity within the program team and MoE; refinement of data management systems used by the program and MoE and leading annual reviews of the MEL Plan and drafting of EduKAiT’s progress reports. The role will work closely with the program’s MEL Officer and Communications Officer. Position Responsibilities:
