ATI Consultores STP, an engineering, architecture and urban planning firm with active projects in São Tomé and Príncipe and Guinea-Bissau, is recruiting a Technical Director to lead and oversee the technical implementation of infrastructure and construction projects, particularly those funded by international development agencies such as the World Bank.

We are looking for a highly competent and committed Civil Engineer or Architect with strong technical and leadership skills, capable of managing a multidisciplinary team, ensuring quality and timely delivery of projects in challenging environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the technical execution of civil works, building rehabilitation and urban planning projects

  • Supervise planning, design and construction activities, ensuring compliance with local and international standards

  • Validate technical studies and project documentation

  • Coordinate field teams and technical staff in different project locations

  • Maintain relationships with clients, contractors and development partners

  • Prepare and review technical reports and deliverables

  • Provide training and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians


Candidate Profile

  • University degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture (required)

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing infrastructure or building projects

  • Proven experience working with development projects funded by international donors (e.g., World Bank, UN, EU) is highly desirable

  • Strong technical expertise in construction supervision, project planning, budgeting and quality control

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills

  • Adaptability to work in resource-constrained environments

  • Fluency in Portuguese; working knowledge of English or French is a plus
