ADE is expanding its roster of independent experts and is seeking highly experienced Evaluation Team Leaders for upcoming assignments in the humanitarian, peace and development domains.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead complex evaluations from inception to final reporting, ensuring methodological rigor and quality assurance.
- Design methodologies and develop and adapt quantitative and qualitative assessment tools tailored to diverse stakeholders and thematic areas.
- Manage multidisciplinary evaluation teams.
- Oversee and participate in remote and in-person data collection, ensuring ethical and context-appropriate approaches.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement, workshops and co-creation processes.
- Provide clear, evidence-based analysis and recommendations to inform policy and programming.
- Lead report writing and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 years’ experience as an evaluation Team Leader.
- At least 5 years leading evaluations for humanitarian agencies and/or on humanitarian issues.
- Proven track record working with a range of evaluation methodologies and mixed-methods approaches. Experience with theory-based methods required; experience with other approaches preferred, including but not limited to: process tracing, outcome harvesting and mapping, systems-thinking approaches and/or foresight methods.
- Advanced facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Postgraduate degree in evaluation, public policy, international development, humanitarian affairs, or related social sciences.
- Experience working in conflict-affected environments is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English or French required; other UN languages an asset.
