Job Purpose
The Digital Innovation & Livelihoods Projects Coordinator will lead the design, implementation, and management of projects related to digital entrepreneurship, freelancing, and innovation within Violet’s Digits Innovation Center and related programs. This position plays a key role in advancing youth empowerment, women’s participation, and inclusion of persons with disabilities, through ICT-driven business start-ups, freelancing support, and digital skills development. The coordinator is responsible for effective project delivery, budget oversight, technical guidance, and strong representation with key stakeholders. This role also contributes to identifying sector needs, supporting fundraising and proposal development, and ensuring strategic alignment with Violet’s vision. The ERL Projects Coordinator will report to the FS and ERL Projects Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Program Implementation:
• Oversee planning, implementation, and evaluation of digital innovation and livelihoods activities at the Digits Center.
• Ensure transparent selection and enrollment of start-up teams, freelancers, and youth participants with strong inclusion measures.
• Lead budget management and monitor work plans, ensuring effective use of resources.
• Support start-up incubation, freelancing mentorship, and training in ICT, business management, and soft skills.
• Facilitate access to finance, market linkages, partnerships with private sector actors, and demo/networking events.
• Ensure timely reporting, compliance with organizational policies, and donor requirements.
• Integrate activities with other Violet core sectors including ERL, Education, and Protection.
• Assist in developing a plan to work with young people in digital innovation, the freelance market and startups.
• Assist in the development of training programs for youth in the field of innovation, free market and startups
• Participation and supervision related to the implementation of activities and Special programs for youth in the field of digital innovation and the freelance market, in coordination with the Youth Officer and volunteers in the region

Program Design
• Identify gaps and opportunities in digital entrepreneurship and freelancing sectors.
• Support proposal development, concept notes, and fundraising efforts.
• Collaborate with technical advisors to introduce innovative approaches.

Team Management and Capacity Building
• Supervise project staff and trainers.
• Assess training needs and prepare capacity-building plans.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and support performance management.
• Facilitate and Deliver trainings for staff and beneficiaries on freelancing, entrepreneurship, and digital skills.

Coordination and Representation
• Represent Violet in coordination forums, working groups, and with local authorities.
• Build partnerships with private sector, academia, and networks supporting digital innovation.
• Engage with community leaders and organizations for inclusion and outreach.

Strategic Alignment:
• Ensure activities align with Violet’s strategy, vision, and values.
• Stay updated on best practices in ICT-driven entrepreneurship, livelihoods, and freelancing.

Others:
• Commitment to the path and values of the Violet (Faith in youth and volunteers, Integrity, and honesty, sacrifice and altruism, teamwork and team spirit, innovation and creativity, elegance handling and beneficiary dignity, responsiveness and initiative).
• Respect and apply all the PSEA and child protection principles, and show high commitment to report any PSEA & CP action.…etc.
• Commitment to implementing policies by taking them into account when planning and designing activities, as well as when receiving complaints or noticing issues related to this matter, and fulfilling their obligation to report them directly through designated channels or directly to senior management. Raising awareness among designated staff about the child protection policy and the protection from sexual exploitation and abuse, as well as the reporting mechanisms and how to handle them.

Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities / accountabilities are illustrative ones. Another future responsibilities/accountability may be assigned to the job depending on the department organizational chart.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)

A. Essential:
• Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, or relevant field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project coordination/management (digital innovation, livelihoods, or entrepreneurship).
• Experience working with youth, women, and PWDs.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
B. Desirable:
• Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PCM).
• Experience in donor-funded project management.
• Track record in innovation programs/start-up incubation.
