Senior Ecologist

The Representative office of Dornier Consulting International GmbH in Ukraine is looking for a Middle or Senior Ecologist to join our core team.

The main requirements are as follows:

Education

• Master`s or above degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or Biology.

Proven experience

• At least 7 years in environmental studies and environmental and social impact assessment.
• Identifying and assessing the potentially existing and future adverse environmental and social impacts associated with projects.
• Reviewing, specifying, and implementing mitigation and compensation measures for various environmental and social impacts associated with policies and plans.
• Designing or supporting environmental and social management or monitoring programs, and evaluating the effectiveness of mitigation measures.
• Conducting surveys to gather data on environmental issues and their effects on the environment.

Ability and capability

• Practical knowledge and good understanding of international environmental standards, IFI requirements and strategies (EBRD, World Bank, KfW, etc.), and Ukrainian environmental legislation.
• Systemize and present findings and prioritized recommendations, including the development of ecological strategies and action plans.
• Provide comprehensive analytical reports and practical recommendations, systemize and present findings, and convey results through structured visual representations.

Additional requirements

• Experience in projects financed by IFIs or similar institutions.
• Participation in projects with central/local authorities and municipalities.
• Fluency in English and Ukrainian.
