Job objective
Monitor, audit, and update the organization's financial and accounting files, and ensure that all financial payments are archived and documented correctly and on time.
Main tasks
Accounting and Auditing
Responsible for recording financial and accounting transactions, recording and following up on cash transactions, and conducting periodic cash inventories with the cashier, ensuring accurate completion of documentation in accordance with the institution's policy, in addition to periodic inventory operations.
Preparing monthly reconciliations with the organization's offices and monthly budgets.
Entering financial data into the fund management Excel file.
Review field activity documentation and ensure accuracy.
Prepare and complete documentation for received projects, ensuring accuracy, archiving and appropriately coding.
Auditing the centers' financial reports and participating in auditing and completing documentation, ensuring its accuracy, archiving, and appropriate coding.
Direct follow-up with project accountants, in coordination with the Finance Department Manager.
Audit purchase orders.
Translation of all financial documents into English.
Update monthly project reports and link them to their documentation in the Google Drive archive.
Preparing and updating the budget expenditure follow-up file on a monthly basis.
Participate in the monthly closing process.
Participate in preparations for the annual financial audit of the organization and the financial audit of projects.
Internal communication
Responsible for financial coordination and follow-up of purchase orders.
Coordination with other operations and programs departments according to the directives of the Finance Department Manager.
Coordinate with the field team to prepare funding requests.
Qualifications for the position
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent specialized certificates (accounting – internal auditing – financial auditing...)
Two years of experience in financial work, with preference given to experience working within organizations.
Knowledge of using accounting software (preferably Odoo, QuickBooks).
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.
Personal skills
Proficiency in Arabic, with a good level of English.
High communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
Commitment to the organization's values and approach.
