Hydraulic Engineer

We are shortlisted by The World Bank for Request for Proposals for “Consultancy to conduct Drainage Standards and Road Asset Management” in The Gambia. Additionally, we are also executing 4 funded assignments in Gambia.

a) Qualifications and skills: A minimum of BSc in engineering or related fields and 10 years post-qualification experience in Hydraulic Engineering

b) General Professional Experience: A minimum of 10 years relevant experience with at least 5 years in a Senior Management position, including at least 5 years African work

c) Specific Professional Experience:  The experience should include at least 5 years of experience in the supervision and Construction of hydraulic features. In addition, at least 5 years’ experience in construction supervision and quality control of hydraulic systems in Road works. He / She must also have proven experience in Hydraulic systems design

d) Roles & Responsibilities: The key duties of a Hydraulic Engineer will include but not be limited to the following:

●       To study and analyse the details involved in various hydraulic reports and studies related to the assignments and pay attention to the details in the blueprints, maps, and other related drawings.

●       To lead, direct, and supervise the staff member effectively to achieve the deliverables.

●       To be involved in designing structures and advise the subordinate members regarding any changes that need to be made and communicate it to the client.

●       To ensure that all the project specifications have been met and that all the safety factors are highly considered.

●       To identify the technical or any other issues, resolve them, and prepare the reports related to various proposals, deeds, etc.
