As Sistem Global, we are currently expanding and screening our expert pool in the field of climate change mitigation, transparency frameworks, and national climate governance, in view of upcoming international technical assistance opportunities expected to be implemented in Ankara, Türkiye.
Master’s degree or higher in Climate Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Policy, Economics, Energy Engineering, Public Policy, or a closely related field.
At least 10 years of general professional experience in climate change, environmental policy, or related fields.
Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in climate change mitigation, climate transparency frameworks, or international climate policy processes.
Proven experience as Team Leader, Key Expert, or Project Manager in EU-funded, UN-funded, or other international technical assistance projects.
Strong experience in UNFCCC processes, including direct involvement in or close coordination with climate negotiations, technical bodies, or international meetings related to the Paris Agreement.
Demonstrated expertise in Global Stocktake (GST), Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF), MRV systems, or national climate reporting mechanisms.
Experience in conducting needs assessments, gap analyses, sectoral analyses, and institutional assessments related to climate governance.
Proven experience in facilitating sectoral technical dialogues, multi-stakeholder consultations, and inter-institutional coordination mechanisms.
Hands-on experience in designing or contributing to national systems, frameworks, or institutional models for climate monitoring, reporting, and stocktake processes.
Experience in preparing sectoral synthesis reports, analytical summaries, and policy-oriented technical documentation.
Familiarity with international best practices and models for national stocktake or transparency systems, including participation in or organization of study visits and peer-learning activities.
Proven experience in developing sectoral input collection methodologies, guidelines, and data frameworks for climate mitigation reporting.
Experience in delivering capacity building activities and trainings for public institutions on climate data collection, reporting methodologies, and institutional processes.
Ability to contribute to or lead the development of communication strategies related to national climate processes and transparency mechanisms.
Strong understanding of EU climate acquis, international climate finance frameworks, and alignment between national climate governance and international obligations.
Proven ability to draft high-quality technical reports, synthesis documents, strategic plans, and policy recommendations aligned with international climate agreements.
