 Objective:

The project aims to transform Samarkand’s public transport by modernizing the municipal bus operator into a sustainable commercial entity, implementing performance-based contracts for private companies, and establishing a professional management system to oversee the city’s new electric bus fleet and infrastructure.

Position: Electric Bus Specialist

We are seeking a highly qualified Electric Bus Specialist to lead the technical implementation and operational integration of the new electric bus fleet in Samarkand. The role involves overseeing the deployment of e-bus technology, charging infrastructure, and maintenance protocols to ensure energy-efficient operations, fleet reliability, and the successful transition to a sustainable, low-carbon public transport system.

 Qualifications and skills:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be fluent in English; knowledge of Russian will be considered an asset.
• Must be fully computer literate.

General experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in electric vehicle fleet management and battery technology.

Specific experience:

• At least one (1) project in electric bus operations and maintenance.

Assignment Details

Location: Remote with international missions to Samarkand.

Assignment duration: 24 months
