“Project Implementation Consultants for Upgradation works of 11kV Feeders, Installation of Asset Performance Monitoring System (APMS) on 100 & 200 kVA Distribution Transformers, and Installation of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI).”

Client: Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO)

Principal Design and Supervision Engineer (Electrical Design Engineer)

Graduate electrical engineer (BSc/BE Electrical Engineering from a recognised university).
He/she should have at least 10 years of experience in supervision of design, installation, testing, and commissioning of 11kV or above voltage level power distribution systems.
He/she should have participated in at least 2 (two) projects of similar nature for the construction of 11kV or higher voltage level distribution systems and must also be familiar with project management.
Experience in managing international supply and installation contracts for IFI-funded power sector projects.
Good oral and written communication skills in the English language.
High sense of teamwork, organization, and responsibility.
Strong project management skills and experience in similar project coordination
Experience of working in Asian or other developing countries.
Permanent staff of the firm, or Joint Venture.
Will be stationed at the Local Office at least for the duration as required by the project.

The Principal Design and Supervision Engineer will partner with the Team Leader to ensure that the project‘s objectives are achieved.
Assist in the evaluation of technical & financial bids for the Project.
Assist SEPCO during clarification to bidders in connection with the bid documents.
Participate and assist SEPCO in the negotiation of the contracts.
Prepare a project monitoring scheme (which will include technical, physical, and financial details), and finalize formats for reporting progress of supply and installation works and procedures for following up, supplying materials for installation in accordance with the technical specifications.
Develop a comprehensive project plan covering the project time schedule, payment procedures, and quality assurance program. Establish a computerized project monitoring program using off-the-shelf software packages.
Approval of drawings / technical data of the feeders, and allied equipment.
Review and advise on detailed design drawings, perform verification of all works and provide recommendations to the PMU to amend technical solutions if necessary.
Check and approve ―as built drawings‖, ensuring that all changes introduced in the field during construction have been incorporated.
Maintain detailed records of relevant events & activities, drawings & documents, minutes of meetings.
Review and confirm with PMU the approval of the pre- commissioning program, submitted by the contractor,
Review and confirm with PMU the commissioning test reports submitted by the contractors, establish the list of deficiencies [if any] after commissioning, and prepare a time frame for the contractor to remedy the deficiencies
Compile systematic records of the contractor‘s site activities, prepare and maintain inspection and engineering reports and records to adequately document the progress and performance of the work,
