Bridge Engineer

We have been shortlisted by the African Development Bank for submitting the Request for Proposal for providing the "CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR TECHNICAL AUDIT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF TUNGAMAA PANGANI BRIDGE (525M) INCLUDING UPGRADING OF APPROACH ROAD (14.3 KM), USHONGO SPUR ROAD (5.9 KM) AND PANGANI ACCESS ROAD (5.4 KM) TO BITUMEN STANDARD AND MKANGE – MKWAJA – TUNGAMAA ROAD SECTION (95.20 KM) INCLUDING KIPUMBWI SPUR ROAD (3.7 KM)".

We are currently looking for a qualified Bridge Engineer:

1. She/he shall be responsible for ensuring the bridges and other drainage structures are constructed according to design and conform to the contract specifications.
2. She/he must be a registered Civil Engineer by a recognized professional body with a degree in Civil engineering or equivalent qualification. Postgraduate qualification in Bridge/Structural Engineering is an added advantage.
3. She/he must have a minimum of ten (10) years of cumulative experience in bridge design and/or construction.
4. She/he must have served in a similar capacity on at least three (3) projects in technical auditing of bridges and drainage systems in the last ten years.
5. In addition, she/he must have a working experience of at least 3 years in Sub-Saharan countries. Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
