1. Project Coordinator / Team Leader
Role: Overall lead of the assignment, responsible for strategic direction, coordination with AFD/EU and partners, and quality assurance of all communication outputs.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead stakeholder consultations and initial diagnostic phase
- Oversee the design of the communication strategy and action plan
- Ensure consistency of messaging and alignment with AFD/EU visibility requirements
- Supervise all team members and validate key deliverables
- Act as main point of contact with the contracting authority
Qualifications and experience :
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in communication, public relations, journalism, international development, political science, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in strategic communication, including management of communication assignments for development projects or institutional clients.
- Experience working with international donors, public institutions, and/or development partners (EU, AFD, UN agencies, World Bank, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Excellent drafting, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluency in English required; knowledge of Swahili is an asset.
