EU funded project titled "Technical Assistance to ECOWAS in Transport Governance in the West Africa under NDICI"
The objective of this project is to promote sustainable, smart, resilient and safe mobility to strengthen land, air and water transport regulatory frameworks in the ECOWAS region.
The Key Expert 2 will be a full-time position with 880 working days over the 48-month contract duration.
Duty Station: The expert will be based in Abuja, Nigeria, with regular missions across ECOWAS and West Africa Member States.
Requirements that must be met to qualify for this position:
Qualifications and skills
-A university degree in civil engineering, transport infrastructure, or a related field.
-A post-graduate degree (Master’s level or equivalent) in civil engineering, transport infrastructure, or a related relevant field.
-Fluency in English or French, with at least good working knowledge of the other language being an asset.
General professional experience
-At least 15 years of professional experience in road infrastructure, construction and maintenance, or civil engineering
-Significant experience working in developing countries, preferably in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Specific professional experience
-At least 5 years of experience in the planning, design, supervision, or management of major road and corridor infrastructure projects.
-Experience with performance-based maintenance systems and/or road asset management systems.
-Experience in multi-country or regional corridor initiatives will be considered an asset.
