We are seeking an experienced Water Treatment Specialist to join our proposed team for the Narayanganj Green and Resilient Urban Development Project in Bangladesh, funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Contribute to improving sustainable urban water infrastructure in Bangladesh.
Apply your expertise in water treatment plant design and Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) technology.

Position: A3 – Water Treatment Specialist
Project: Consultancy Services for Management, Design and Supervision of Construction (MDSC), Including GESI Implementation – Narayanganj Green and Resilient Urban Development Project
Location: Narayanganj, Bangladesh
Funding Agency: Asian Development Bank (ADB)
Project Status: Proposal Stage
Expert Input: 8 person-months (Construction Period)
Expected Commencement: To be confirmed
Review and support the design of water treatment plants and associated infrastructure.
Provide technical expertise in treatment processes, particularly Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) technology.
Evaluate treatment system performance, design specifications, and proposed technical solutions.
Coordinate with the project engineering team on water treatment design and construction-related matters.
Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Supply, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a similar discipline.
Minimum 20 years of professional experience.
Minimum 15 years of experience in the design of water treatment plants.
At least one completed project involving Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) technology.
Minimum 5 years of experience in similar donor-funded development projects.
Proficiency in English.
Competitive and negotiable remuneration based on qualifications and relevant experience.
Per diem provided; accommodation is not separately provided.
