We are seeking an experienced Environmental Safeguard Specialist to join our proposed team for the Narayanganj Green and Resilient Urban Development Project in Bangladesh.

Position: A7 – Environmental Safeguard Specialist
Project: Consultancy Services for Management, Design and Supervision of Construction (MDSC), Including GESI Implementation – Narayanganj Green and Resilient Urban Development Project
Location: Narayanganj, Bangladesh
Funding Agency: Asian Development Bank (ADB)
Project Status: Proposal Stage
Expert Input: 3 person-months (Construction Period)
Expected Commencement: To be confirmed
Support the implementation and monitoring of environmental safeguards measures throughout project activities.
Review environmental management and monitoring requirements associated with infrastructure construction.
Conduct environmental inspections and assess project compliance with applicable safeguard requirements.
Identify environmental risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Coordinate with engineering and construction teams on environmental safeguards matters.
Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a similar discipline.
Minimum 15 years of professional experience.
Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental safeguards and monitoring.
Minimum 5 years of experience in similar donor-funded development projects.
Proficiency in English.
Competitive and negotiable remuneration based on qualifications and experience.
