About CFG
Centre for Future Generations (CFG) is an independent think-and-do tank created to help decision-makers anticipate and govern rapid technological change. We are here to make sure that powerful, emerging technologies are used in the best interests of humanity.
Our team supplies rigorous, independent, policy-oriented research and analysis that connects the dots between emerging technologies and the principles of good governance. We work across Advanced AI, Biotech, Climate Interventions and Neurotech — technologies that scale faster than regulation can keep up with, are often controlled by a handful of private or state actors outside national reach, and whose impacts are messy and easy to miss until it's too late.
We work in three ways: we anticipate emerging scenarios through foresight methods, we inform policymakers and those who influence them, and we influence by proposing concrete governance solutions.
The role
CFG’s Climate Interventions team is growing its international presence and is looking for an International Engagement Manager to build and steward relationships with other think tanks, civil society organisations, international actors and scientific institutions outside Europe. The manager will help shape and execute the programme's strategy, contribute to UN-facing engagement, and explore opportunities for cross-regional initiatives. What we need is depth of experience navigating international fora and multilateral processes, and the judgement, networks and cultural fluency to build a network of partners across regions. The Manager will help shape and execute the program’s strategy.
The ideal candidate combines diplomatic tact with curiosity and intellectual humility, and thrives in a context where scientific inquiry meets complex political and societal debate. They will strengthen CFG’s role as a bridge between research and policy in global climate governance, helping to foster constructive, evidence-based dialogues on the governance of Solar Radiation Modification (SRM). Through their work, the manager will contribute to ensuring that global conversations on SRM remain informed, attentive to questions of justice and oriented toward the long-term well-being of future generations.
We are looking for someone to join the team from February 2027. The post is fully remote, but at least 4 hours a day overlapping with CET are requested, along with the possibility to undertake regular travel to Brussels, partner locations, and relevant international meetings/conferences worldwide.
We particularly encourage applications from candidates based outside Europe and from Global Majority countries.

Personal data
Your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
CFG does not advocate for or against the potential use of SRM. It believes it is unacceptable – full stop – to consider deployment of SRM at this time, given the serious risks and many uncertainties. SRM is not a solution to climate change, and it is not a substitute for urgent decarbonization and strengthened adaptation. At the same time, CFG believes we need rules and policy guardrails for climate intervention technologies supported by open, public and transparent research. Our role is to support governments in evaluating the risks, understanding the stakes, and preparing for informed multilateral dialogue.
