The Intern–GBV Prevention and Response will gain valuable and support our team in preventing and responding to gender-based violence at the local level. Overall, the Intern will support the Program Manager and members working on design gender-based violence training materials and design strategies for engaging in GBV prevention work. The Intern will also provide general administrative and logistical support for meetings and large-scale events.
CCID would like to allow a social science, political studies, development studies, politics, gender/women studies or other similar subject at the university level Student or recent graduate to have a learning experience our Gender-Based Violence prevention and response project. The purpose of the internships is to give students the opportunity to have a first-hand experience for them to build their capacity as part of their studies and to also contribute to ending gender-based violence in Cameroon.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the Writing, editing, and updates of external communications about gender-based violence.
Support the development of a Gender-based violence manual
Provide support in the daily activities of the gender-based violence prevention and response project.
Support in awareness raising on gender equality and violence against women, and in organizing and events/activities related 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence (November 25 – December 10) especially in the field of online communication via social media
Support in drafting web articles on project activities, concept notes, meeting minutes or any other related document
Support the office in implementation of project activities related to Gender-Based violence, (e.g. preparation of trainings, workshops or advocacy actions; drafting letters and other documents)
