Key Expert 6: Support to mainstreaming – communication and knowledge

The purpose of this contract is to improve the integration of environment, biodiversity, climate change and Disaster Risk Reduction (EBCD) in EU supported policies, programmes and investments.

Support will be provided to partner countries’ institutions and to EU services, both EU Delegations and Commission headquarters. The services provided will contribute to implement the EU Green Deal’s ambition to mainstream environmental sustainability and climate objectives in all EU policies and action.

Qualifications required:
Qualifications and skills • University degree in Journalism, Communication, Publicity, Marketing, education or equivalent professional experience (of minimum 3 years in those areas) • High-quality writing and communication skills • A minimum C1 Level in English. • A minimum B2 Level in French and/or Spanish will be considered as an asset. • Proven experience and sound knowledge of current communication tools and technologies (including social media, webpages and blogs, etc.). • Familiar with professional software for laying out/editing documents and on-line content and preparing presentations.

Professional experience required:
General experience: • At least 5 years professional experience in the field of communication, knowledge development and/or capacity development Specific professional experience: • At least 3 years in coordinating and delivering communication and visibility campaigns and/or knowledge and capacity development events, using various tools, in the field of development cooperation or in the areas relevant for this contract (EBCD) • Previous professional experience with EU-funded projects will be considered as an asset • Field experience in developing countries will be considered as an asset
