Education Above All (EAA) and the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) have joined forces to help provide equitable, inclusive, and quality education for millions of out-of-school children around the world.
At the Doha Forum – a global leadership platform that addresses critical international challenges – the Global Partnership for Education welcomed the first-ever $20 million contributions to GPE from the Qatar Fund For Development (QFFD) through EAA.
“We are happy to further strengthen our partnership with the Global Partnership for Education. Only by working with partners like GPE, who share our values and goals, will we be able to realize our vision of a world where every boy and girl has equal access to quality primary education,” said Fahad Al Sulaiti, CEO of Education Above All.
Qatar joins GPE and makes its first pledge as a new donor.

To support innovative financing for transforming education, the agreement also provides an additional US$30 million in co-financing from EAA to the GPE Multiplier. A Multiplier is an innovative approach to financing that allows countries to leverage one dollar from the GPE Multiplier for every three dollars they receive from external sources such as multilateral development banks and bilateral donors.
“GPE welcomes the Qatar Fund for Development and Education Above All to the partnership,” said Charles North, Acting CEO of the Global Partnership for Education. “As the world faces increasing uncertainty ahead, we encourage our donors and partners to follow this example and step up their contributions to global education. Maintaining funding to education remains critical, especially in times of crisis. The Qatar Fund for Development and EAA’s generous engagement will help the world’s most vulnerable children get in school and learn.”
Building on a long tradition of generosity, the new pledge from the Qatar Fund for Development through Education Above All exemplifies growing regional leadership on global education efforts.
