The European Energy Transition Conference is a key annual event for stakeholders involved in the energy transition at the local level since 1999. Each year, it gathers more than 3,500 participants: local authorities, scientists and experts in the ecological transition, economic players and associations, and students for three days of debates and meetings.
Due to the climate emergency, the European Union and several political entities have included in their legislation an objective of carbon neutrality by 2050. Because this topic is rich and its stakes so high, the European Conference on Energy Transition will decipher all the dimensions of carbon neutrality.
Nearly fifteen plenaries to inform, engage and inspire about consumption and lifestyles, tax savings, carbon sequestration, regional planning, exemplarity, cooperation, and solidarity as well as the mobilization of actors. With European, national, regional, inter-municipal and municipal, patrimonial, or even individual perspectives, this theme will be analyzed under multiple prisms and points of view: from elected officials to experts or journalists.
The program includes more than 130 events: plenary sessions, round tables, interviews, sharing of experience, workshops, and site visits, to meet, exchange, share, and get inspired. The leading thread of this edition is βActing together towards carbon neutrality by 2050β.
