Belgrade, Serbia – International financial institutions and representatives of worldwide development agencies will meet at the Hyatt Regency Hotel for International Cooperation and Development Forum to discuss upcoming business opportunities in the Balkans on June 13th, 2017.

The goal of the forum is to connect financial institutions and different development agencies with business representatives in the private sector throughout the Balkans to build a more concrete understanding of what the needs are within the private sector, and to educate the private sector of the expectations various agencies have of them.

4“We are looking to facilitate the building of a bridge of understanding where the two sides start to work together. Our belief is that the private sector will better perceive where they have a comparative advantage, and where they need partners in order to be able to complement each other when bidding for projects” Sergiu Casu, the director of Business Development at DevelopmentAid.

The international development forum also aims to build progressive dialogues between speakers and participants, to identify the most efficient approaches in cooperating with international financial institutions, and to focus on procurement procedures. Further, the organisers of the forum, DevelopmentAid, want to promote innovative business development, share available online resources, and showcase relevant funding opportunities.

“In short, we really want to create a network of the biggest change makers and stakeholders in the international development” Cornelia Potorac-Ciumac, the director of External Relations and Events at DevelopmentAid.
