The workshop will be a full-day event with high-profile speakers and discussants from academia, policy institutions, international organizations, and the private sector.
The workshop will be structured in two parts. The first session will focus on the various concepts of the equilibrium real interest rate, with the aim of better understanding how this crucial but unobservable variable is evolving.
The second session will focus on the appropriate fiscal-monetary policy mix, in light of the renewed focus and increased academic interest in this important topic in recent years. The event will close with a policy panel discussion with leading experts.
