2025 Asian Evaluation Week

📅 1 – 4 September 2025
Xi’an, People’s Republic of China

The Independent Evaluation Department (IED) of ADB in partnership with the Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Institute (AFDI), is proud to announce the 10th Asian Evaluation Week (AEW)—a milestone edition of Asia and the Pacific’s premier platform for evaluation knowledge sharing and learning.

Since its inception, AEW has become a leading global platform for the evaluation community bringing together thought leaders, policymakers, and practitioners from Asia and the Pacific and beyond. It fosters rich dialogue, promotes South-South learning, and connects countries facing shared development challenges, enriching the exchange with diverse perspectives.

Theme: Navigating Crises – Building on Successes

In an era marked by rapid change and growing complexity—from climate shocks and economic volatility to social shifts and technological disruption—uncertainty has become the new normal.

Evaluation offers a powerful way to turn uncertainty into opportunity. By generating timely, evidence-based insights, it supports informed decision-making, fosters innovation, and strengthens crisis response. Engaging communities and stakeholders throughout the evaluation process also builds trust and enhances institutional credibility.

The 2025 AEW invites evaluators, thought leaders, and changemakers to explore how evaluation can help build resilience and deliver sustainable, equitable solutions in uncertain times.

Through inspiring keynotes, dynamic panels, and interactive sessions, AEW 2025 will equip participants with practical tools and fresh perspectives. It’s a unique opportunity to connect with global development and evaluation partners, share experiences, and exchange solutions.
