DevelopmentAid attended the Asian Development Bank’s 2025 Business Opportunities Fair

DevelopmentAid attended the Asian Development Bank’s Business Opportunities Fair in Manila, Philippines, held at the bank’s headquarters on September 16-17, 2025. Representing DevelopmentAid were Vipashwa Bajracharya and Davit Kvaratskhelia, who used the opportunity to introduce fair attendees to the wide range of services offered by DevelopmentAid and Tenderwell, and enjoyed networking with fellow professionals in the international aid community.

With 1,100 participants from around the Asia-Pacific region attending this year’s Business Opportunities Fair, the event was a prominent occasion for development professionals to connect with stakeholders in the international aid sector and to gain further insights into ADB and its processes.

The first ADB Business Opportunities Fair was held in 2009 and has since become one of the most highly anticipated events of the year for consultants, contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, and civil society organizations. It offers a one-stop forum for participants to learn more about the process of providing goods, works, and services for ADB projects. A diverse range of ADB specialists in the climate change, education, energy, transport, water, urban development, agriculture, finance, and public management sectors were on hand to engage with attendees.

The DevelopmentAid team discussed many promising collaborations with various international development organizations, such as the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, consulting firms, and NGOs. Most of these organizations were based in the Philippines and were eager to learn more about donor-funded opportunities.

The team was also delighted to meet with current DevelopmentAid members and receive their feedback.

DevelopmentAid thanks the hosts for organizing such a welcoming and well-run event and looks forward to attending next year’s forum.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is a regional development bank that was founded in 1966 and closely modeled on the World Bank. ADB has 69 member nations and has committed more than US$67 billion to developing the region.
