The XI Energy Week, organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and the Government of the Dominican Republic, will take place from October 6–9, 2026, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The event will bring together ministers and senior government officials, multilateral organizations, financial institutions, private sector representatives, academia, and international experts to discuss the key challenges and opportunities shaping the future of the energy sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Energy Week is the region’s premier platform for political, technical, and cooperative dialogue on energy, where governments, the private sector, international organizations, and experts come together to advance a regional agenda focused on energy integration, resilience, and sustainable development.
In its eleventh edition, the event will seek to strengthen regional cooperation, accelerate knowledge exchange, and foster partnerships that can turn the sector’s challenges into opportunities for economic growth, competitiveness, and improved quality of life across the region.
Priority topics include:
- Outlook for the energy sector over the next decade.
- Natural resources and their role in energy security and sustainability.
- Modernization and digitalization of the power sector.
- Artificial intelligence, energy and digital infrastructure.
- Regional energy planning and integration.
- Investment, financing, and innovation for energy sector development.
The program will feature plenary sessions, high-level panels, technical dialogues, and bilateral meetings, fostering the exchange of experiences, the development of strategic partnerships, and the identification of concrete actions to build safer, more resilient, and more competitive energy systems across Latin America and the Caribbean.
