Spanish Development Finance Institution (COFIDES) has committed €30 million, through the Social Impact Fund (FIS), to the Resilience Partners Impact Fund, a €150 million target fund managed by Resilience Partners that focuses on financing growing, sustainable and innovative companies, according to a press release issued in Madrid on October 21, 2026. The transaction expands FIS’s capacity to mobilize financing for Spanish companies through specialized fund managers. It will help attract private capital to impact investing and broaden financing options available to SMEs. The agreement reflects a shared vision of supporting mid-sized companies with high growth potential. It also strengthens Spain’s impact investment ecosystem.
The Social Impact Fund was established under the addendum to Spain’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) and is financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU. It is managed by COFIDES under the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration. FIS is a public financial instrument aimed at strengthening Spain’s impact ecosystem by supporting investment projects that generate measurable social and environmental impact. With an allocation of €400 million, the fund provides financial support to financially sustainable projects addressing underserved challenges. It also mobilizes additional private capital alongside its investments.
The Resilience Partners Impact Fund builds on a proven strategy of financing SMEs throughout their growth journey through tailored financing solutions and impact measures. It focuses on mid-sized companies in the growth and consolidation stages with solid business models. The fund prioritizes sustainable transformation and the generation of measurable positive impact. These are treated as key drivers of productivity and corporate resilience. Resilience Partners manages more than €200 million in assets and targets companies with EBITDA of between €2.5 million and €15 million.
At the end of 2025, the funds’ portfolio companies generated more than €290 million in sales, growing at an annual rate of 16%. The firm has completed twelve investments across different sectors and has invested more than €40 million over the past 12 months. Adriana Oller, founder of Resilience Partners, said:
“We are delighted to establish this partnership with COFIDES as a leading institutional investor. We share a common vision of supporting mid-sized companies with high growth potential, where tailored financing can serve as a catalyst to enhance productivity and long-term corporate resilience.”
The vehicles are also backed by institutional investors, family offices and have historically received support from the European Investment Bank (EIB).
Eduardo Bellosillo, a member of the fund’s investment team at Resilience Partners, added that institutional backing reinforces the firm’s investment thesis in the corporate segment. He noted that designing flexible financing solutions adapted to companies’ real operational needs helps mitigate risks and accelerate growth. The transaction reinforces Resilience Partners’ strategy of supporting SMEs with solid business models. It also underscores a commitment to sustainable development through investments that generate long-term social impact. COFIDES, a state-owned trading company, counts among its shareholders Banco Santander, BBVA, Banco Sabadell, and CAF–Development Bank of Latin America.
