Many schools in Kurdistan Region of Iraq have increased numbers of students, after welcoming Syrian refugee and internally displaced Iraqi students. In 2017, 19 of these schools received new classrooms, toilets, learning material, and equipment, through the support of the US Department of State, Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM).
