The ILO: Promoting employment and decent work for peace and resilience

The ILO has an important role to play in finding a solution for the one and a half billion people affected by crisis and conflict around the world. The ILO Flagship Programme “Jobs for Peace and Resilience” can put the organization and its values at the centre of the efforts to prevent and respond to crisis and conflict.

The 107th International Labour Conference is holding a World of Work Summit to discuss the importance of employment and decent work for peace and resilience, with a specific focus on tackling the realities on the ground and on partnerships that can achieve real results. The Summit will address the challenges of sustaining peace by providing opportunities in the world of work, especially for young people.
