As Vietnam’s cities grow and quality of life improves, higher demand for more electricity is making the country look to renewable energy.

The World Bank-funded $202 million Renewable Development Project (REDP) is helping Vietnam meet energy demand sustainably.

As of June 2017, 14 small hydropower plants funded by REDP have been completed producing 960 GWh/year of renewable energy for the national grid.

On September 25th, 2018, Ms. Anna Wielogorska, Lead Procurement Specialist form the World Bank in Vietnam will deliver a speech at the Vietnam Economic Infrastructure Development Forum. The event will take place at Hilton Hanoi Opera Hotel.
