In northern Colombia, former members of the FARC-EP (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia) have access to various training, including a clothing workshop designed for female ex-combatants and local women. While gaining skills in sewing together, they are also learning to be self-sufficient and live in harmony.

In 2016, after 53 years of conflict, a peace agreement was signed between the Colombian Government and the FARC- EP. The United Nations and its partners have been supporting the implementation of the agreement.
