Improving access to water and sanitation in Burkina Faso

Water resources are key to Burkina Faso’s development and play an essential role in the economy. However, access to safe water and to improved sanitation is still a challenge for a significant part of the country.

A new project supported by the World Bank will benefit more than 1.1 million people with improved water supply and 1.3 million people with improved sanitation services in targeted areas.
