In order to support the growth of Guatemala during 2018, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) approved US$193 million and disbursed approximately US$117.7 million.
In the framework of the 2015-2109 Guatemala Country Strategy, the Bank has contributed by strengthening the conditions of competitiveness and social infrastructure through the financing of various initiatives that support regional economic development and seek to improve the quality of life of Guatemalans.
During his recent visit to the founding member country, CABEI Executive President, Dr. Dante Mossi, had the opportunity to meet with important Guatemalan authorities to address various issues of national and regional interest.
President Mossi thanked the event organizers and presented an outline of the different CABEI initiatives carried out in the country, highlighting noteworthy initiatives, such as the recent approval of US$193.2 million for investments in the Guatemalan Public Hospital Network in the framework of the “Investment Program for Hospital Infrastructure and Equipment,” which will be executed by the Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance (MSPAS).
