As cross-border challenges multiply, international cooperation is inhibited by tensions between countries as well as national and populist movements. To foster collective action and to defend and adapt multilateralism, the Paris Peace Forum gathers all relevant societal actors under one roof.
For its second edition, the Paris Peace Forum will rely on the elements that contributed to the success of the first edition and that made it a truly unique event. In the face of increasing global challenges and persistent threats to multilateralism, the Paris Peace Forum continues to act as a convening power to bring together all committed actors and as an incubator to help advance concrete governance solutions, with the same:
- objectives: to encourage international cooperation and collective action for a world at peace;
- means: to showcase, discuss as well as advance innovative and concrete solutions;
- focus: to strengthen, update or create new rules, standards and good practices.
The Paris Peace Forum is designed to be an incubator to drive global governance solutions centred around six themes:
- peace and security,
- environment,
- development,
- new technologies,
- the inclusive economy,
- culture and education (new theme for 2019).
The selected projects will be presented during the Forum. This unique event will be an opportunity for project leaders to meet leaders and potential partners, speak with participants from around the world and benefit from media attention.
