Social protection to address demographic shift in Asia and the Pacific region

Asia and the Pacific region is undergoing a profound demographic shift. This issue demands swift adaptation and changes in social protection policies and programs in the region. Some countries have stepped up initiatives on long term care to adapt to their aging demographic profile.

ADB is supporting its developing member countries through new lending and technical assistance, while also promoting collaboration among various stakeholders to address the issue.
