The COVID-19 pandemic has generated a health crisis around the world. In response, all the efforts of the health systems are focused on mitigating this crisis, this may bring with it possible “collateral damage” in other essential health areas.
For example, restricted access to complete vaccination schemes for children, underreporting of cases of endemic communicable diseases and worsening in the indicators of management and fatality of non-communicable diseases.
For the seventh webinar in the series of policy dialogues organized by the IDB‘s Social Protection and Health Division, through its CRITERIA Network, a panel of experts with extensive experience in the health sector and in-depth knowledge of the Latin American reality and its harsh restrictions on health and financial resources, they will address the importance of priority setting in the health sector in times of the COVID pandemic.
