The Asia-Pacific Business Forum (APBF) is the flagship regional business forum organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). The APBF’s mission is to provide the best platform for continuous regional multi-stakeholder dialogue on the role and needs of business in achieving inclusive, resilient, and sustainable development.

APBF 2020 will be hosted virtually under the theme of ‘The Future of Global Value Chains and Implications for SMEs”.

Some 500 multi-stakeholders, in particular governments, businesses, civil society, and academics from across the region are expected to participate in the Asia-Pacific Business Forum 2020 to foster public-private dialogue and identify innovative solutions and opportunities to address the current challenges faced by businesses – particularly SMEs – from the economic fallout of COVID-19 which has also been compounded by global trade tensions and market disruptions.
