UNOPS will implement the €30 million, European Union-funded program with Serbia’s Ministry of European Integration.
The programme will focus on improving social infrastructure and social cohesion, as well as on improving business infrastructure and encouraging entrepreneurship – including among women, young people and people in vulnerable groups.
“We strongly believe that micro, small and medium-sized enterprises are the backbone of any modern economy,” said Ambassador Sem Fabrizi, Head of the European Union Delegation to Serbia.
“This is why EU PRO Plus continues – in the footsteps of its predecessor programmes – to place focus on the cultivation of a private sector-led by entrepreneurs,” he added.
“The goal of European integration is a better standard of living and the overall quality of life of every citizen in our country, wherever they live and work in Serbia,” said Jadranka Joksimović, Serbia’s Minister of European Integration.
UNOPS has previously worked with the government of Serbia to implement the EU PROGRES, European PROGRES programme and the EU PRO programme in Serbia.
