Objective and Purpose of the Assignment

One of the activities of the project's Gender Action Plan is the organization of bootcamp sessions in collaboration with the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) that can foster and increase the interest of female high school students on STEM/energy fields. Expected outcomes of this activity include: (i) increased interest and enrollment of high school girls in STEM education, including on energy related fields; (ii) improved awareness of STEM career opportunities and pathways, with special emphasis on the energy sector; (iii) creation of a supportive network for girls in STEM and energy related fields; and (iv) increased potential for long-term career development perspective and gender equality in STEM and energy related fields.

To support implementing this activity, the services of an experienced team on gender and communications are required. This team will work closely with ADB and ITC in the preparation and delivery of these bootcamp activities, that will involve at least 500 female high school students from all over Cambodia.
