Objective and Purpose of the Assignment

ADB has received a grant from the Women’s Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (WE-FI) to pilot a WE Finance Code across here countries: Fiji, Indonesia and Sri Lanka. The objective of the pilot is to establish a robust gender-responsive financial ecosystem, which can lead to increased investments and innovations for women-owned/led small and medium-sized enterprises (WSMEs). ADB proposes to pilot the WE Finance Code in Sri Lanka, with three key components: fostering a WSME-focused policy and regulatory framework, incentivizing private sector engagement, including through digital solutions, and fostering evidence and knowledge through peer learning and new evidence.

ADB is recruiting a firm for the implementation of the pilot in Sri Lanka in order to support and coordinate the implementation of key focus areas, including the adoption of a national definition of women-owned business, and strengthening sex-disaggregated financial data among all key stakeholders in the financial system.
