1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the De-Risking, Inclusion and Value Enhancement (DRIVE) of Pastoral Economies in the Horn of Africa Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Procurement of Construction of Livestock Collection Centers and Fodder Market Center Shades in Different part of the Pastoral and Agro-Pastoral area of Ethiopia, in Oromia, Somali, Afar, South and Southwest Ethiopia Regional States.
2. Following the Advertisement dated 15th of December 2024, on The Ethiopian Herald News Paper, The Ministry of Agriculture now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of Livestock Collections and Forage Market Centre Shades in the following 7 Lots.

3. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for procurement of Goods, Works, Non- Consulting and Consulting Services in investment project financing, fifth edition issued in September 2023, Guidelines on Preventing and Combating Fraud and Corruption in Projects Financed by IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and Grants, (the Anti-Corruption Guidelines)’, dated October 15, 2006 and revised as of July 1, 2016; and the provisions stipulated in the Financing Agreement.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Agriculture and inspect the revised bidding documents during office hours from 8:30AM to 5:00PM at the address given below.
5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders upon submitting a bank slip for the non-refundable fee of ETB 1000.00 (One Thousand Birr only) Payment by depositing on the Ministry of Agriculture Bank Account No. 1000009144009, at Commercial Bank of Ethiopia.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before February11, 2025 GC at 10:00 AM EAT and will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 10:15AM EAT on the same date of closing.
7. Electronic bidding will not be permitted and late bids will be rejected.
8. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security with an amount stated in the above table in Ethiopian birr or an equivalent amount of freely convertible foreign currency.
