This project will support the modernization of the Lesotho social protection system. The project will consist of: the establish ment of common delivery systems (identification system, eligibility, management of ifnromation, payments, etc); the consolidation of programs; he re-orientation of programs towards addressing poverty and vulnerabiility; and strengthening the links between the safety net system and labor markets & productive activities. The project will also include a component on strengthening the social and poverty-related statistical system. Identification completed on 12 June 2014. Environmental Assessment Category B.
