This is a repeater project in the amount of EUR25 million that presents the second phase of the on-going Municipal Services Improvement Project (MSIP, P096481) with an aim to respond to the strong demand by the municipalities for the local infrastructure financing. PDO will continue to focus on improving transparency, financial sustainability and delivery of targeted municipal services in the participating municipalities. While the project is expected to employ the implementation mechanisms developed under the existing MSIP operation initially, it will also explore a strategic direction towards more sustainable and institutionalized financing mechanism for municipal infrastructure development, going beyond a project-based Project Management Unit (PMU) approach. Identification completed on 19 February 2015. Environmental Assessment Category B. US$29.0 (IBRD). Consulting services to be determined. Implementing agency(ies) to be determined.
