Belmopan Sewerage Expansion Phase 2 - Supply of Material

1. The Government of Belize has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank toward the cost of Belmopan Sewerage Expansion Project Phase 2, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the Contract ‘Belmopan Sewerage Expansion Phase 2 - Supply of Material’.

2. Belize Water Services Limited now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply of:

  1. pipes, fittings and appurtenances,
  2. perimeter fencing,
  3. YSI IQ SensorNet Systems,
  4. outdoor waterproof solar street light,
  5. photovoltaic system,
  6. pumps and accessories, etc.

3. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the Inter-American Development Bank’s Policies for the Procurement of Goods and Works financed by the Inter-American Development Bank, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Bidding Documents.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from:

and inspect the Bidding Documents at the same address given above from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of BZ$100.00.  The method of payment shall be cash.

6. Completed bid documents together with all the required enclosures shall be placed in a sealed envelope and marked ‘BID FOR BELMOPAN SEWERAGE EXPANSION PHASE 2 - SUPPLY OF MATERIAL’ and delivered to the address below on or before 3:00 pm local time, 30th October, 2015. Electronic bidding shall not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.  Bids will be opened physically in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below by 3:10 pm on 30th October, 2015.

7. All bids are to be accompanied by a Bid Security, as specified in the bidding document.
