This invitation for prequalification follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business of 23.07.2015 on-line.

Republic of Poland has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) toward the cost of the Odra Vistula Flood Management Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for 3B.1 Flood protection Sandomierz. The project will be jointly financed by the credit from Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), grant funds from the EU Cohesion Fund and national budget. Bidding will be governed by the World Bank's eligibility rules and procedures.
Swietokrzyskie Board of Land Reclamation and Waters in Kielce intends to prequalify contractors and/or firms for the following tasks under the contract 3B.1:

1) The flood protection within the area of estuary section of Atramentówka, the construction of new pumping station of Koćmierzów and the gravity sluice in Koćmierzów (in the right embankment of Wisła) and the drain transferring water from Atramentówka to the pumping station.
2) The flood protection within the area of watercourse Struga A along with the reconstruction and development of the pumping station Nadbrzezie.
3) The development of band embankment to protect Glassworks and Housing estate in Sandomierz against flood waters.
4) The protection of river Koprzywianka's embankments – left embankment in km 0+000 ÷ 12+900, right embankment in km 0+000 ÷ 14+400.
5) The construction of the pumping station in Szewce.
6) The development of water pumping station in Zajeziorze.

It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in March 2016.

Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, January 2011, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries, as defined in the guidelines
Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification document at the Swietokrzyskie Board of Land Reclamation and Waters in Kielce (address below) from 8.00 a.m. to 3 p.m. A complete set of the prequalification document in English and Polish may be received by interested Applicants on the submission of a written application to the address below (free of charge). The document will be sent by post, on the request also electronically. In case of discrepancies in PQ documents the hard copy will prevail.

Applications for prequalification should be submitted in sealed envelopes, delivered to the address below by 12.00, on 11.01.2016 and be clearly marked "Application to Prequalify for Odra Vistula Flood Management Project, works contract number: 3B.1 Flood protection Sandomierz".
The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject late applications.
