Update on August 26th, 2016:
The program consists of three components: (i) Strengthening of innovation, science and technology system: the implementation of a focus on social inclusion and competitiveness in the development of skills for innovation. This component will support and promote the articulation and coordination between actors and system components. (ii) Mission oriented research: finance activities to strengthen the capacities of innovation and research with a special emphasis on health, logistics, transport and energy. (iii) Social Innovation: This component will identify susceptible social needs to be serviced from the field of science, technology and innovation through competitive contests of problems and solutions. Status: Approved by the Board on 8 June 2016. Estimated total cost: US$ 45 million. Loan amount: US$ 30 million.
